The Story of Nutcracker (ongoing project)
In 2017 I started this project with a first illustration to create a Christmas card for my family. Once they received the cards I noticed they were unfamiliar with The Nutcracker's story. The goal is to illustrate and familiarize my family with the whole story. It is nice to see how my painting style is changing throughout the years.
This year I've decided to portray a scenewhere Clara is gifted a nutcracker in a shape of wooden soldier by he godfather Drosselmeyer.
In 2024 I presented the meeting between the animated Nutcracker and shrunken Clara.
In 2020 I've decided to portray a battle scene between The Mouse King and The Nutcracker.
The first illustration was created in 2017 as a Christmas card for my family and I decided that each year I want to tell the next part of the story of The Nutcracker
in 2018 I presented a snow fairy forest scene, where Clara and Nutcracker meet the snow fairies
The 2024 card captures a gingerbread dance where Clara and The Nutcracker meet Mother Ginger and a troupe of Gingerbreads
In 2023 I chose the Rose lake scene. I wanted to depict it as a big clockwork automaton that has The Golden City in the middle and a lake of rose water around it. Clara and The Nutcracker are riding on a swan boat made of gold and pearls that is taking
